The ICJ’s 19 July Advisory Opinion ruling explicitly calls for ending any “aid or assistance in maintaining the situation created by Israel’s illegal presence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory”.
Is the South African government siding with Glencore or the people of Palestine and Lebanon? It’s time for the South African government to be decisive. Stopping coal sales to Israel will irrefutably undermine the Israeli government’s capacity to wage genocide on the Palestinian people and ensure South Africa is not complicit. It will be welcomed by Palestinians, progressive governments, and people across the world. It will provide a glimmer of hope for South African people that their government has not abandoned those in need at home or abroad. Once again, South Africa will be seen as the “light of the world” and a beacon of solidarity.
As South Africans, we know that sanctions in support of our liberation struggle played a vital role in bringing down the apartheid regime.
STOP SELLING COAL TO FUEL THE GENOCIDE AND ILLEGAL OCCUPATION.SANCTIONS NOW!

Castro KhwelaGood morning fellow Compatriots!🙏🏾✊🏾👊🏾

This was and it is still an incident not to forget. We have been hurt and still hurting. The TRC never did anything to comfort us but only opened wounds . Re introduce death sentence and hang those who did that.
