The British Invade Zululand
On 11 January 1879, Ingonyama uCetshwayo kaMpande had already learnt from his intelligence team that the British were invading his country in great force, and the Zulu regiments were assembled at Ulundi, his capital; a mere 120 kilometres from the Tugela River.
Lase liphumile lelozwi,

Ngoba amabutho kaZulu,
Angangophoko lwakwamfazi
Oluchitheka lungacoshwa.
